Napoleon & Mistral – two Dachshund dogs in a Citröen Car

Rachael spotted these two Dachshund Dogs traveling in the Citröen when driving through the countryside in Provence; recognizing the perfect opportunity to create a classic French Dog image Rachael quickly told her husband Andy to ‘follow that car’. In a nearby village, the car stopped and parked and the owner stepped out, entering a local shop. Rachael followed her in and politely explained she was photographing for a book on French Dogs and would she mind if she photographed her two dogs in her car. ‘Bien sur’ Of Course! So Rachael went back over to the car and captured this delightful image of the two dogs waiting patiently for their owner to return, they weren’t even concerned about Rachael’s presence, they were fixated on the store where they last saw the sight of their beloved owner.

This image was published in Rachael’s book The French Dog

Napoleon and Mistral were photographed by Rachael using her H3 Hasselblad Digital Camera in Natural Light on the streets of Maussane Les Alpilles, Provence, France.

Rachael recommends this image to be framed using a White, Black, or Dark Wood Frame, with or without a white border.
