Barber Shop Floyd

Floyd – Shaggy Labradoodle Dog standing outside Barber Shop in New York City.

Andy, Rachael’s husband meet Floyd and his owner while out on the streets in New York; Andy took their contact details so Rachael could get in touch to schedule a photoshoot; Rachael had been looking for a shaggy dog to capture an image of standing outside the authentic Barber Shop, in Greenwich Village, NY. Floyd was perfect, though a little unsure as to why he was tied up outside a strange store while his owner was standing on the pavement down the street talking to him to get Floyd to look in his direction. Rachael waited patiently to capture the reflection of the tail end of a passing classic NY yellow cab in the window to make this image even more authentically NYC.

This image was published in Rachael’s book The New York Dog.

Floyd was photographed by Rachael using her H3 Hasselblad Digital Camera in Natural Light outside Mr. Joseph’s Barber Shop in Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York.

Rachael recommends this image to be framed using a Black, White, or Dark Wood Frame, with or without a white border.
