When Rachael was wandering the streets of Autignac, a village near where she lived in the South of France, she came across a family of French Bulldogs playing in the street. Éclair was the father of the puppies and an incredibly handsome dog. Rachael asked the owner if they would mind if she photographed him for the French Dog book she was producing, “Bien sur” Of Course! This was always the answer, the French love their animals and were always more than happy for them to be photographed. The home the Bulldogs lived at had a wonderful staircase that led up to the front door, the stone was worn and textured and made the perfect background to compliment Éclair’s fur. A simplistic image that captures the beauty of a French Bulldog for all lovers of the breed to enjoy.

Eclair was photographed by Rachael using her H3 Hasselblad Digital Camera in Natural Light on the front steps of Éclair’s home in Autignac, Languedoc-Roussillon in the South of France.
