Guiness – Grey and White Moggie Cat with pink nose wearing a turquoise beanie pulled down over his eyes.
Never let anyone say you can’t pull the wool over a cat’s eyes! It is not a natural, nor easy task to ask a cat to be blindfolded, it took a few weeks of persistent training to get Guiness to happily sit, relaxed, with a beanie pulled down over his eyes. Marie Manderson, animal trainer extraordinaire never questioned Rachael’s image requests, and always worked with the animal's best interests at heart to train the animals to wear items of clothing, or to hold foreign objects in their mouths. Guiness was a remarkable cat, usually trotting about in Television Commercials, he didn’t blink an eye when he was asked to pose wearing the beanie; he only tolerated it for a few seconds, but this was long enough for Rachael to capture the perfect shot.
This image was published in Rachael’s book 101 Cataclysms: For the Love of a Cat and also in her book It’s a Zoo Out There.
Guiness was Photographed in Natural light using Rachael’s Hasselblad film camera using Portra 160 film.
Rachael recommends this image be framed using a White Frame, with or without a white border.
