Garden Gate, Busset, France
While wandering the streets of Busset looking for Cats, Rachael noticed this garden gate, the softness of the rose petals next to the rusted texture of the ancient gate, and the pop of colour alongside the green were the perfect complements to create this image. The French built things to last, they may get worn but each rustic piece holds its own piece of magic to the eye of a photographer.
Rachael produced hundreds of images during her travels of France photographing for her three French books The French Cat, The French Dog, and Lunch in Provence, not every image made it to publication, this being one of them, but this still is one of Rachael’s favourites.
The Garden Gate with Rose was photographed by Rachael using her H3 Hasselblad Digital Camera in Natural Light in Busset, Auvergne, France.
Rachael recommends this image to be framed using a White, Black, or Dark Wood Frame, with or without a white border.
