Grand Frére et Petit Frére

Grand Frére et Petit Frére – Two brother kittens, one sitting and the other up on his hind legs peering out through the window at the world outside.

When wandering around the French Villages looking for Cats, Rachael often made friends with the residents and was often invited into their homes, not only to capture images of their cat(s) but also to enjoy an aperitif or cafè, they were all fascinated with Rachael’s story and what she was doing. It was during her morning venture through the lanes of Kerjacob in Brittany that Rachael came across an adorable French lady in her garden, in her Pidgeon French Rachael asked if she had any cats, ‘” Oui, Deux! Petits frères très espiègles” (Yes Two! Very mischievous little brothers). Rachael, her husband Andy, and their daughter Charlize were invited inside to meet the two cats, who were adorable and indeed full of character. While Andy teased the kittens with Rachael’s feather teaser from outside, Rachael photographed the kittens from inside the front entrance of the home.

This image was published in Rachael’s book The French Cat

Grand Frére et Petit Frére were photographed by Rachael using her H3 Hasselblad Digital Camera in Natural Light at the entrance of their home in Kerjacob, Saint Gilles Vieux Marché, in Bretagne, France.

Rachael recommends this image to be framed using a Black, White, or Dark Wood Frame, with or without a white border.
