Lola – Endearing Lhasa apso dog looking up at the camera with soulful eyes.
Lola melted Rachael’s heart, her soul was so sad. Rachael discovered the reason for her desolation when her owner told her that Lola’s brother, a Shih-Tzu, had died the week before. She was missing her soulmate and partner in crime. Although passers-by showered Lola with attention as she lay on her day bed next to where her owner paints, Lola’s eyes led Rachael to her soul, still struggling to cope with the loss of her best friend.
This image was published in Rachael’s book The French Dog, you will also find another image of Lola in the opening pages of the book, sitting on the doorstep of her owner's shop in Grasse, Provence.
Lola was photographed by Rachael using her H3 Hasselblad Digital Camera in Natural Light on the street in Grasse, Provence, France.
