During her travels of France Rachael often came across objects, when isolated with her camera, became snippets of French Life. Images that were often used within the pages of her French series of books to give the reader the true essence of French Life. Rachael loves the colours and textures of this scene created by a French local casually leaning their bike against the building to step inside to visit a friend, not a thought taken to locking their bike, knowing that it will still be there after the afternoon's aperitif.
Rachael produced hundreds of images during her travels of France photographing for her three French books The French Cat, The French Dog, and Lunch in Provence, not every image made it to publication, this being one of them, but this still is one of Rachael’s favorites.
Rachael captured this image on her Hasselblad H3 Digital Camera, in Natural Light in the village of Maussane Les Alpilles, Provence, in the South of France.
Rachael recommends this image to be framed using a White, Black, Whitewashed, or Oak Frame, with or without a white border.
